We do not upload your files

Every PDF and image tool on FreePDF runs entirely inside your web browser using your own device’s processor. When you select a file, it is opened locally in the page — it is never transmitted to us or to any third-party server. We cannot see your documents, we do not store them, and nothing is retained after you close the tab. This is a fundamental design choice, not just a promise.

Information we do not collect

We do not require accounts, logins, email addresses or payment details. We do not collect the contents of your files, their names, or any personal data contained within them, because those files never reach us in the first place.

Analytics and cookies

We may use privacy-respecting analytics to understand which tools are popular and to improve the site. Any such analytics only record anonymous, aggregate usage (such as page views), never the contents of your files. If we display advertising in the future, advertising partners such as Google may use cookies to serve relevant ads; you can control cookies through your browser settings and, where applicable, a consent banner.

Third-party libraries

FreePDF uses open-source libraries (for example for PDF and OCR processing) that are downloaded to your browser and run locally. These libraries also do not transmit your files.

Children’s privacy

FreePDF is a general-purpose utility and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will always be available on this page. Continued use of FreePDF after changes indicates acceptance of the revised policy.
